A good question is where to buy the Lenormand cards in the US. They are not always easily found, and at reasonable prices. I recommend the following stores, all of which I have purchased from and had satisfactory experiences with.
amazon.com: No surprise here. This is where I bought my LS French Cartomancy deck from. It’s known as the Dondorf style, which is a classic deck. Very charming, although a little larger than traditional Lenormand size (which is closer to playing card sized, for those of you used to tarot decks). This deck is only sold as a kit confusingly named “MINI,” which includes a book. I don’t know anyone who has used the included book; it’s nothing like traditional Lenormand techniques or card meanings. **At the time of this writing, the deck appears sold out and the prices have skyrocketed. I wouldn’t advise paying the ripoff prices, currently at $60USD. Watch for it to come back in stock.
TaroBear’s Lair: A website founded to provide US shoppers with European decks used for *gasp* card games, like tarrochi. Includes a selection of tarot and oracle decks. (Those of you looking for the Thoth tarot can find it here.) A small number of Lenormand decks are available, including the Mystical, Petit Jeu and Grand Jeu. The Mystical in particular may appeal to modern sensibilities; the artwork is truly incredible in person.
House of Tarot: Currently carries the Piatnik Lenormand deck.

I was planning to buy the French Cartomancy mini from Amazon too, but then stocks ran out before I could order. Do you know if TaroBear ships internationally? thanks for the informative post.

Hi marimorimo,
I later found out that Llewellyn, the US distributor, is also out of stock for that deck. I’d hoped to pick up an extra copy when they had their last sale. I wonder if it will be reprinted?
TaroBear does ship internationally. From the website’s shipping policy page: “We ship retail orders anywhere in the world using US Priority Mail.”
Which deck are you considering?

Hello! I’m marimorimo the one who made the comment back in Sept 2009! I just want to say I ordered from TaroBear right after I posted and had a pleasant experience with them. I got the Mystical Lenormand deck
However, I only started to study and use the cards a few days ago! LOL.

Hello! Glad you got the deck. I tend to stick with my French Cartomancy still, but I do think the Mystical is very attractive.
