… and a Partridge in a Pear Tree!

Despite a couple of missteps — one vanished post and two that were accidentally published early — we’ve made it to the final post for this 12 Days of Christmas 2014 series. Should we celebrate?

Today I’d like to share a couple of fun facts about my blog.

Every year, WordPress sends out a fun report showing how your blog did over the year. It includes statistics such as the number of visitors, most popular posts and where visitors came from with an interactive map. While I consider my blog a relatively small one, here is a fun way to view how many of you read it, courtesy of WordPress:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 27,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 10 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Nifty, huh? You all hail from 126 countries. Most visitors are from The United States. The U.K. and Canada are not far behind.

Thank you all for continuing to read my writing, even when it’s sparsely updated. And I especially thank those of you who leave me comments and questions. While I enjoy writing topics of interest, it’s knowing that people read it that keeps me going.

I want to wish you all the best, as we enter what I hope will be a happy, healthy and prosperous new year for all of us.
